You will need to study these plans for your own knowledge. This will help you to best design a unit to fit on your property. You can use this manual like a map. Just find what type of design you want and follow the plans. Since this will give you an idea of what you want, you will save money by turning this over to a draftsman instead of an architect. Also, you can do as I did on my first few buildings, I drew the plans myself.
What you will see within each plan will be the basics for a set of plans. First, there is a plot plan so you can see what the offsets are from the property lines to the building. Second, you will have a first and second floor plan, this will help you in the layout of each unit. Third, you will see a cross-section of the building. This will give you some insight to how the building is constructed. Fourth, you will have exterior elevations so you can get an idea of how the building will look.
